Finances/benefits and advice
- Disability Living Allowance (DLA) – for people aged under 65, who need help with their personal care and/or have problems with mobility. Two components for care and mobility. Not means tested.
- Attendance Allowance (AA) – for people aged over 65, who have a disability severe enough for them to need help or supervision caring for themselves.
- Carer’s Allowance (CA) – for someone aged over 16, caring for someone more than 35 hours per week (subject to the patient being cared receiving AA or higher care component of DLA).
