Visual problems

 

Activity:

• Cards should be spread out in a wide field, making it necessary for you to scan your peripheral visual field
• Using playing cards, select 10 pairs and attach them to the right and left walls in a room - You will be matching pairs up, so place one card on the right and its pair on the left
• Ask someone to call out a specific card; you will then be required to find the pair
• To increase the difficulty this can be a time-challenged

 

Identifying objects rather than cards can also be used; scanning activities whereby patients are asked to locate pictures or objects may also be useful.
