Homonymous Hemianopia, sometimes referred to as hemianopia, is actual visual field loss.

• Hemianopia generally occurs as vision lost in nasal portion of one eye and temporal portion of the other eye
• It can occur in the right or left half of both visual fields
• Hemianopia is caused by a lesion of the optic tract after the fibres have crossed at the optic chiasm
