Management

• Remind the patient to check the position of their affected limb

• Look at the affected hand during tasks to monitor what position it is in and what pressure is being used to grip items

• Tell patient to check water temperature with non-affected hand

• Reduce distractions (e.g. talking or multi-tasking) to help the patient concentrate on the position and movement of the affected limb
