Normal motor planning

In normal motor planning:

• Attention is demanded to trigger the schema; lower level schema proceed automatically unless environment changes. Hence patients confused by making a cup of tea in the hospital kitchen perform the task successfully once at home with ESD

• Repetition of a motor pattern in activities help it to become established- thus supporting incorporation of normal movement patterns

• Movement may be initiated by verbal, visual or tactile input or by volition

• When planning a task, actions are combined with object use and function; object and action must match
