Action schema
- Norman (1981) extended the concept of the single motor programme to an action schema containing sensory, perceptual and motor components of an activity sequence
- An action schema develops with practice and experience
- It is triggered by input from environment or from volition
- Sequences of subschema are activated to complete an activity or reach a goal, i.e. action scheme for making a drink will trigger sequence components to complete the task
