Assessment

Before using any assessment tool, the assessor needs to consider:

• Is this the most correct/most appropriate tool:
  • for stroke?
  • for the problem being assessed?
  • is it being used in the right context?
  • face to face?

• Self reports

• Third party reports

• Do I need/have the right training?

• What will I do with the results of the assessment?
