Fatigue |
Abnormal fatigue is a state characterised by levels of tiredness that are not related to exertion levels and that are not improved by rest (De Groot, 2003).
Fatigue can be caused by a number of factors including:
- Depression
- Side effects of medication
- Disturbed sleep as a result of pain, respiratory problems, anxiety or other emotions such as fear of having another stroke
