Impaired sensation can be assessed using assessment tools such as:

• Nottingham Sensory Assessment – this can be downloaded here

• Sensory subscales of larger scales such as the Motor Assessment Scale and the Fugl-Meyer, which are impairment-based measures and address sensation

 

Sensation and ESD

The patient, family and ESD staff working at home can explore a greater range of potential sensation deficits and work in a function-repetitive manner to address concerns and develop personalised learning strategies.
