Repetition is key
Carry out purposeful activity with the patient and ensure repetition of small sections of the task, building to the whole task. For example, focus on repetition of filling the kettle and putting it on to boil, with maximum support for the remainder of the task. Then shift the focus of repetition at different times until the whole task is mastered. Repetition of the parts of the task are vital.
