Anatomy and Physiology related to stroke |
The brain is divided into three main areas, including:
- Cerebrum, anterior circulation (consisting of the right and left sides or hemispheres)
- Cerebellum, posterior circulation
- Brain stem, posterior circulation
Depending in which of these regions of the brain the stroke occurs, the effects may be very different.
