Spatial inattention and falls
- As patients are likely to be less aware of themselves and their environment they have an increased risk of falling
- De-clutter and arrange furniture so that the patient is less likely to bump into objects
- Keep floors clear of trailing wires, frayed carpets and rugs
- Keep rooms well lit to help the patient to see more clearly
